University-Based Speaking & Courses
The Clubhouse-University Initiative aims to forge partnerships between the global Clubhouse Network and universities to advance awareness about mental illness and enhance community support. While still in the initial stages of development, the initiative was successfully piloted at the University of Notre Dame. The goal is to expand to other university chapters and Clubhouses.
The initiative equips students with a comprehensive understanding of mental illness by engaging with Clubhouse members - people living with mental illness - and learning firsthand how the innovative, community-based Clubhouse Model of Psychosocial Rehabilitation is a solution for individuals and communities worldwide. The partnership prepares students to effectively engage in mental health practice and advocacy on campus and in their future, on both a professional and personal level.

The initiative supports Clubhouse programming by helping to end isolation for Clubhouse members and by increasing knowledge of the Clubhouse approach which will help eliminate stigma and create a more positive narrative about mental illness.
The goal is to strengthen both communities through collaboration and knowledge-sharing, ultimately enhancing the mental well-being of individuals and strengthening communities.
