Partnerships can be sensitive so it is imperative that all chapters attempt to keep a similar framework for their relationship. Here you will find the guidelines that were carefully cumulated to foster these healthy and mutually beneficial relationships.
The main goal of our partnership is to build a connection between the two groups, not to offload work that could be done internally by each. Our partnership is not a volunteer opportunity, but rather a collaboration between two different entities, the local Active Minds chapter and the local Clubhouse. In order to make this partnership work efficiently, there are several components that you should consider:
-
Communication: Establish an open form of communication between your two groups, such as email, Slack, or Basecamp.
-
Goals: Create short-term and long-term goals surrounding what you would like to accomplish through the partnership.
-
Meetings: Regular (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc.) meetings should be established in order to keep communication running. These can be conducted in person, by phone, over Zoom, or through any form of communication that the two groups find best.
-
Continuity: Ensure proper succession planning by adequately preparing for turnover. Set up meetings between previous and upcoming project leaders to maintain consistency.
